I'm just curious what this insect is. I found it on my burner barrel and it scared me because at first glance I thought it was a huge yellow jacket. At second glance I noticed it has some really interesting markings. Any help with id would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Looks like one of the borer beetles, Clytini(1). More specific ID should be possible but I don't know that group.
