Cryptocheilus
I believe this is Cryptocheilus, but I hope someone else can confirm. Excellent find!

Cryptochelius
C. attenuatum Banks... seems out of its range, however, that is all it keys to with my Townes. very pretty wasp.

Townes' range maps
Townes' range maps are unreliable now. Pretty certain you have it correct. I collected this species in Cincinnati, Ohio, too. Nice images of a lovely insect.

my opinion on Townes' maps:
they are almost useless if you are on the periphery of the geographic range of some species. There are probably close to twenty species that I have found in Ohio that represent considerable northern or eastern range extensions. This species is included in that category.

maps
i knew those maps were sketchy, but that seems almost excessive. still a very nice looking wasp... one of these days, i will find one.
