Grasshopper/cricket? - Melanoplus

Grasshopper/cricket? - Melanoplus
Cochrane, Alberta, Alberta, Canada
December 31, 1969

Definitely young
a hatchling of a Melanoplus species, probably will be over an inch when mature, maybe an inch and a half - depends on species. Could be M. femurrubrum, but I'm not sure.
