Crazy Spider with Spiked Behind! - Micrathena gracilis - female

Crazy Spider with Spiked Behind! - Micrathena gracilis - Female
Beer Creek, Chatham County, North Carolina, USA
July 16, 2009
Size: 1/4 inch (very small)
Found this spider on the hammock in the morning. I assume its a spider because it was on a web srand but it could be something else. Not aggresive, no web strucure in sight; this thing looks like a dinosaur of a spider, except for its size which was very small (hence the poor pic) approx. 1/4 of an inch.
