The semi-invisible fly... - Chrysopilus basilaris

The semi-invisible fly... - Chrysopilus basilaris
Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, USA
July 15, 2009
Size: around 7 mm
Umm... so I found this fly right? Except it decided to be half-invisible. The wings were almost impossible to see without camera aid... and where is the other half of this fly's body? It was alive and moving... I'm confused...

Moved
Moved from Chrysopilus. Abdomen is bent under the body, apparently a typical posture for males in this genus.
