Froghopper?
I've never seen one, not sure what they look like, but I do think they may be closely related to spittlebug

maybe synonyms?
I tried a search for froghopper and it turns up spittlebugs. I've heard that name before. I wonder if they might be synonyms?

This is either...
Coelidia olitoria

-or-

Coelidia olitoria floridana

Let's wait for an expert to figure out exactly which :)

thanks Ron
That looks like the ticket. Wonder if floridana is a more southern subspecies?

Data Map
Looking at the Data Map, I saw where they have reached as far north as Maryland and even into Oklahoma. Kansas is quite possibly just a hop away :)

Give Me An 'I'
Give me an 'E'. What does that spell?

Internet Explorer ? :)
..

Sorry
It's a regional thang. You'd have to be from Louisiana to appreciate that one. I was picking at Ron about his "hop away" comment.
