It has some distinctive marking like black and white checker board pattern, can't find it in my book.

Tachinid yes
But not the same one as on the other picture. It has less and weaker bristles on the abdomen and the head and antenna are different.
Family Tachinidae and, judging by the long legs, it is in the subfamily Dexiinae.
