Spider Eating Webspinner

Spider Eating Webspinner
Encino, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 3, 2005
Size: 1/4 inch (body length)
This spider apparently has the wall under the porchlight staked out at night, and attacks insects attracted to the light(there's no web apparent nearby). I used a portable fluorescent light to illuminate the scene.

It looks like yet another cribellate spider to me.
I bet if you touched the wall where you saw the spider, part of the web would stick to your finger. (that is if the web is not dusty)

Can't tell.
The image is too dark to make out relevant details to help ID the spider. Neat image of behavior nonetheless.
