"This beetle is seen sporadically across its range. It's always a treat when one does show up -- I've only caught two (reared one and a second flying in my yard). They breed in decadent elms and maples."

yes, a longhorned beetle
They get the name from the long antennae. That's a pretty one. Somebody here can probably tell you the exact species.
