Wall Spider - male

Wall Spider - Male
Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, USA
July 18, 2009
Size: ~ 2-4 mm
I found this spider running rapidly on the edge of one of the planters in the apartment complex. Appears to be a male.

Could be O. navus. Do you kno
Could be O. navus. Do you know what is on the species list? Did you collect it? They are very fast, aren't they.

Thanks!
Yep - according to Steve Lew's list, navus would be very likely. O. isolatus and O. putus look like they are probably only in So. Cal. I wasn't able to collect this one, but I'll keep my eyes out for another adult - they're pretty common around here, although small, very fast and hard to catch! :)
