On Clethra alnifolia blossoms. A honey bee is on the same flower head. Can the sex be determined from this photo? I can't see the face color.

I think I'm catching on to what to look for after more review of Sphex pages. I've watched wasps burying other insects/spiders many times without trying an ID. Digital photography is expanding my interests from trees/wildflowers that stay still while you look them up! Thanks for your help!
