We get the sense of
Twice-stabbed Stink Bug - Cosmopepla lintneriana. See . Was it quite small?

I think you are right
Yes it was quite a bit smaller than the the two twice stabbed stink bugs - Cosmopepla Lintneriana that were in the same bush. Also present were Harlequin beetle - Murgantia histrionica
