Spiny Alien - Euthochtha galeator

Spiny Alien - Euthochtha galeator
Fillmore, Andrew County, Missouri, USA
Size: 3/4 inch (approx.)
This crazy spined nymph was on some weeds near a garden in Fillmore Missouri. I figure it is a true bug of some kind, most likely an assassin bug, but I've not ever seen anything like it. It truly looks like some other worldly creature. Can anyone ID?
