how big was it?
I was going to say green june beetle, Cotinis nitida, but now I think it's something else. I'm noticing a line or different indentation where the thorax makes the V shape. Also I think yours may have a different looking head. I'm wondering if there's another possible Cetoniinae this could be, but I don't know what it would be.

I think you are right. It looks like it is definitely that genus, and I don't see any other species that look similar.
