"Without looking at the literature, just scanning materials in the collection, it looks like that genus. As for a species, I found one specimen from Arizona that has the basal black spot on the pronotum. All others present, have the spot centrally located or lack a spot entirely. I need to find Vaurie's revision to see about the species."

(I asked Paul whether this is an Acropteroxys; pls don't reply to this comment -- i'll edit the text once the ID is in. =v=)
