Barklouse - Cerastipsocus venosus - male

Barklouse - Cerastipsocus venosus - Male
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
July 20, 2009
This barklouse looks much like Cerastipsocus venosus sans its characteristic white markings. Do they come later? Is this a dark morph? Perhaps a different species?

Cerastipsocus venosus, a very melanistic male
Ed Mockford det.

Moved from Barklice and Booklice.

funny thing indeed; will ask around
