Imperial Moth - Eacles imperialis

Imperial Moth - Eacles imperialis
Kerr County - (Hill Country) County, Texas, USA
September 6, 2005
Size: Wingspan 11.8 cm - 41/2"
This fellow flew in my workshop window and landed on my workbench. There is no visible antennae nor proboscis. It is one big mutha! Not a Sphinx moth that I've been able to find.

If you can identify him, drop me a note to ejohnson@hctc.net

I love these!
I love these moths. They're one of my favorites of the Giant Silk Moths. Nice photo!
