Tachinids & Associates on Thistle - Adejeania vexatrix

Tachinids & Associates on Thistle - Adejeania vexatrix
Toolbox Draw, Escudilla Mountain, Apache County, Arizona, USA
July 27, 2005
Habitat is mountain meadow, about 10,000 Ft. (3048m).

Didn't really see anything quite like this in BugGuide or elsewhere.

Looks like
it might be a Tachinid Fly, Adejeania vexatrix. Here's one from Colorado to compare with.

Tachinid: no wonder I couldn't find it!
Oh yeh that's a perfect match. Thank you.
