Polistes dominulus nest - Polistes dominula
Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada
September 4, 2005
Size: 1 inch app.
This is a blow up of a portion of a wasp nest I found. Is it Polistes dominulus or something else. I noticed that the antennae are kind of orange not black does that mean anything?

P. dominulus
Yes, these are European paper wasps, Polistes dominulus. Nice image of the nest and associated activity:-)
