Mellisodes? - Melissodes

Mellisodes? - Melissodes
Boca Grande, Lee County, Florida, USA
July 18, 2009
Size: roughly 2/3rds honeybee
This is probably the same species as and but I located these in a different location on a different day. These bees were clustered on the fronds of ornamental grasses and at times appeared to be chewing on them.
