From Rod Crawford: "Don't know, the eastern subspecies P.rufus vibrans probably looks different and I've never seen it alive. In WA we have rufus pacificus (also OR)."

Oops I think I jumped the gun on this one. When I first read the comment I thought it said "subspecies P.rufus vibrans probably" but now I see it doesn't say that. I'm going to try to do more research before moving it back out.

No such species?
I can't find any evidence that a species Philodromus mayberufus exists. There is a P. rufus. Did a comment "maybe rufus" turn into a species ID?
