Green Midge Fly - female

Green Midge Fly - Female
Fort Washington, Prince Georhe's County, Maryland, USA

Oh yes
I see lots of these at my doors at night, attracted by the patio lights.

I saw thousands yesterday
Midge Flies are a new insect for me. I thought they were gnats, but they weren't bothering me. It took a little while but I was able to ID them from bugguide and I even learned how to tell males from females.

Good job! =)
I get a variety at my patio lights.
