Space Alien? Or Insect? - Corydalus cornutus

Space Alien? Or Insect? - Corydalus cornutus
Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA
July 26, 2009
Size: 9 cm
This guy was pretty lethargic when I found him. I plopped the dime down for scale and took a couple of pictures. It was about 9:30pm on the sidewalk of a Taco Bell. Maybe these like tacos, I dunno! Any idea what it is? Other than about the largest insect I've ever seen?
