Aurora Damsel - Chromagrion conditum - male

Aurora Damsel - Chromagrion conditum - Male
Neebish Island, Chippewa County, Michigan, USA
June 27, 2005
Found along dirt road, not far from swamp and open water.

Another damselfly. A spreadwing?

Aurora Damsel
This is the Aurora Damsel, Chromagrion conditum. Males and females both have the little yellow patch on the thorax.

It can be a confusing species because they do sometimes hold their wings partly open like a spreadwing.
