This is
a male conehead katydid. Not sure which one right now. Maybe I'll look at it again in the morning.

Broad-tipped Conehead
This is a Broad-tipped Conehead (Neoconocephalus triops) just as your website says. You are right in the center of this species range, which is common throughout the south. By the way your website is absolutley spectacuar, I spent hours sifting through your pictures.
