great detail!
I can actually see two of its right eyes, I've never been able to make those out except on a just-molted larva w/ a colorless head. Nice!

Three, actually...
...and three more on the left. Adult beetles have a different number, I don't know what that is though.
Caterpillars have
six
eyes per side, arranged in a little semicircle. I get a major bug-geek thrill when I can see them all.
It's fun to learn little details like that and then get close enough (via photo or magnifying glass) to see them on a living insect.
