Clubtail? - Progomphus alachuensis

Clubtail? - Progomphus alachuensis
Lake Placid Archbold Biological Station, Highlands County, Florida, USA
July 25, 2009
I think this is a clubtail dragonfly but I am not going to venture a guess further. I don't recall seeing this color pattern in the couple of years since I got into macro photography and started paying attention. It was similar in size to a green meadowhawk dragonfly. It was eating some kind of beetle. Located in sand scrub but not far from a small lake.
