Unusual Morphology? :-)
At first sight I thought this was an ant with unusual antennae.

Then, looking at the vertical view above, those two protuberances (which appear to be attached posterior to the base of the forelegs) looked like a pair of bizarre vestigial wings!
Looking at the profile view I realized they were just the femora...held in "pigeon-elbowed" fashion (i.e. akin to an extreme bottomed-out position in a "push-up").

Then, looking again, it seemed to me this creature had two thoraces!

Alas...all these fanciful wonders turned out to be figments of my Mr. Mugu-like impaired-vision (or is it unimpaired-imagination? :-).

At least in really does have interesting fore-tarsi!

They really are fascinating creatures. And they do walk on their "elbows", holding the tarsi up and out of the way.
