Size: approx. 1/4inch
Has a orange hour-glass on underside of abdomen, top has white and brown strips with orange "racing" strip. Much smaller than a black widow, which we have many around. Has similar abstract web design to black widow's web.

i think that's a young female western black widow
I used to find millions of them on this one brick wall in Pacific Palisades, all varieties of color. The really orangy ones are males. see here western black widow
