Caterpillar - Spilosoma virginica

Caterpillar - Spilosoma virginica
Stafford, Stafford County, Virginia, USA
September 10, 2005
On Government Island. Found on my shirt. It must have crawled onto me when I was trying to capture an image of the brown one. Once he was on the ground he moved fast and hid under that leaf. Another Yellow Bear? This one is smaller than the brown one and no white spots visible on the side.

Moved
Moved from Tiger Moths.

Certainly looks like a Yellow Bear
Wagner has an image which looks very similar, orange warty bristle bases and all, but this is a frustrating group of insects, isn't it?

Very frustrating
To capture an image of and ID. :) Thank you for your help.
