Green Spider - Araneus bivittatus

Green Spider - Araneus bivittatus
Elysburg, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 27, 2009
Small green spider. Is this a type of Lynx spider? First one I've seen that's green and white.

Moved
Moved from Orb Weavers. ID from reading Levi's 1973 article "Small Orbweavers of the Genus Araneus North of Mexico". Both John Balaban and I read the article and agree this must be bivittatus.

Wow!
Hope you have more images to share with us

Sorry.
Due to a brisk wind I was only able to get two relatively clear shots. This is the best of the two. I will keep an eye out for it in the future.

Orb weaver.
This is actually an orb weaver, but I have no idea which one, whether it is mature or not, and if these are typical markings. Pretty...!
