Unknown insect on back of Bee - Apocephalus borealis

Unknown insect on back of Bee - Apocephalus borealis
Silverton, Marion County, Oregon, USA
Size: Tiny
I took this sometime in the Spring of 2008 and just wondered if anyone could identify the insect on the Bee's back. Taken in the morning. Thanks for any help, Kimberly

Looks like a fly.
Tighter cropping would probably help in ID.

identification
Apocephalus (Mesophora) borealis (Diptera: Phoridae). They are parasitoids of bumble bees and other hosts. Cool photo.

Kimberly,

Would you please email me at my work address bbrown[at]nhm.org? Your photo is scientifically important, and I'd like to discuss it with you.

Thanks,
Brian
