Several of these, in different sizes, were in the same location as . This is one of the smaller ones.

That worked out, thanks
Some images there from the Gulf Coast area, but not the Western U.S., look similar to these two kinds. The closest are in the genus Orsilochides and among those identified only to family level. No exact matches for markings. Being seed eaters is consistent with where I found these bugs.
