Nice Surprise - Ascalapha odorata - Male

Size: 155 mm
This is the first of these moths that I have ever observed in Polk Co, FL. I have been hopeing for a long time to find one. This one showed up at my home in the early evening as the winds picked up due to a threatening storm. It flew by the window and caught my wife's eye. It hid under the edge of a bench on the deck. I collected it and photographed it.
