Unidentified Beetle with nymphs - Nicrophorus orbicollis

Size: 25mm
Found this beetle floating in a rain barrel after a heavy rain. Thought it was drowned, but fished it out because of the nymphs clustered on it's back. After taking photos, left it on a board to let the nymphs go where they may, returned in 15 minutes to find it alive and well, nymphs tucked back under her body.

One of the carrion beetles
in the genus Nicrophorus, see here. And those are not nymphs but phoretic mites that use the beetle as a bus (or airplane) to get to the next carrion site. Click on the following and read the comments
