Photinus underside, small lantern = female

Female.
She has a lantern, just not as much wattage:-) Females keep a lower profile than males for obvious reasons.

 
thanks + ? no lantern diurnal Photinus
I found this one out in daylight, not hiding under a leaf. Would that be considered diurnal? I'd added this to another post where diurnal Photinus less lights had been mentioned, and I thought maybe this was one. Would those have an all black belly?
