Thyris maculata
Caprock Canyons State Park, Briscoe County, Texas, USA

Seen on a milkweed in mid afternoon. Sorry, not a great picture. This looks like Thyris maculata, but species page says, "Quebec to Florida, west to Mississippi, north to Wisconsin". Seems like west Texas is a bit far west. Was able to find another picture possibly from San Antonio, TX in an online search. Are there other sources on this moth's range?
