Tha male palps:
Range
Western North America; northern California through Alaska. In Gertsch & Ivie 1936, a single specimen from Salt Lake City, Utah was recorded. This isolated record is provisionally considered as dubious, until more specimens are collected from the mentioned area.(1)
Remarks
Pimoids build large sheet webs close to the ground in sheltered microhabitats such as fallen or hollow tree trunks and under overhanging cornices in banks and road cuts. Sometimes also found in human made structures like sheds and outhouses.(2)
These spiders are nocturnal, spending the day in a web retreat and the night hunting.
They hang upside down from their webs.
