Came to light. Captured, chilled, posed, and released. Length of this individual was about 33 mm (distal end of jaws to tip of abdomen).

Very nice!
I had one visit a few nights ago. Didn't know about chilling them then, but you saw my brown prionid after learning that trick - now I hope another of these comes by! Love these antennae.

 
Do these make noise?
Total bug novice here -- Boise, ID -- my cat was harrassing one of these this evening and it was making a huge buzzy/clicky noise. The photos look just like it, but I'm wondering on it's range and behavior. I don't see mention of it in the Pacific NW, or of it's sounds. It's size is around 45mm - big guy with huge antennae, which is what captivated my curiousity. I've lived here for 10+ years and this is the first one I've seen. Is there a Western USA variety?

Yes, I agree this is the correct identification. I found another person's description of the noise, too, and confirmed that it does indeed make quite a racket when threatened. Thanks for the info!
