Are both of these bees honeybees? The one on the right has a curious alternating pattern in the bands on its abdomen.

I think they're both honey bees.
There's a fair amount of variation in these, including overall color ranging from, uh, honey to very dark brown. I shot one with an almost shell-like abdomen.
