Size: 21 mm bl; 50 mm w/ovipos.
This large, impressive wasp was collected from the waiting area at the C-train (subway equivalent) station. Looks like something from subfamily Pimplinae.

The large size, very long ovipositor, a cylindrical abdomen becoming dorsolaterally compressed apically, the hind coxae length being more than twice their width, and a triangular pointed areolet indicate this subfamily.
