Palthis Moth - Palthis angulalis

Palthis Moth - Palthis angulalis
Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA
July 28, 2009
I believe that this moth is in the genus Palthis, but what species might it be? Also, I've added a second image showing more detail, but this one has a great, almost fringe-like feathery headdress. I'm posting 2 more, seperate, images of another Palthis moth that flew in a few minutes later, but, it didn't have that feature. Is it just worn off or is it a male / female difference? I look forward to hearing any comments on this. Thanks.
