Fuzzy Mosquito

Fuzzy Mosquito
Ontario, Canada
July 31, 2009
Size: mosquito sized
Looks just like a regular mosquito, but it's covered in white fur.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Could be a Phantom Midge
It reminds me of family Chaoboridae, the Phantom Midges, the closest relatives of mosquitoes. A top view showing wing veins would help ID.

Mosquitoes have longer beaks; the females use them to suck your blood.

other angles
Phantom Midge. I'll check it out, thanks. Nope, no other angles -- I thought it was missing a beak... I'll keep looking...
