As it does not have the "bulls eye" marks on the front legs I am pretty sure that you are right; this is probably Tenodera aridifolia

Thank-you! I haven't seen any European Mantis yet this year.of course-I walked right past 3 huge Green Chinese Mantises today-I said I'll bet they are right in front of my face-darned if they weren't too. I can't imagine how I missed them the 1st 3 times I looked. LOL!
