Flutter Fly - Toxonevra

Flutter Fly - Toxonevra
Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, USA
August 1, 2009
A tiny fly attracted to lights at my house. A short video of it's "dance" can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/8343980@N06/3790405989/
ID'd from BugGuide images.

Great video clip...
...of this super cool fly, Audrey! I added a link to it in the Internet References section of the guide page.

(BTW, we must have the same kind of air conditioner, it sounds just like mine when it kicks on! *smile*)

Thanks, Harsi
I have enjoyed these little flies this summer. I've been trying to get better video of their display, but this is the best so far, even with the intrusive AC.

I'm looking forward to the time when we can post video directly to BugGuide. I think that this would add important info to some of the species.
