Saddleback Caterpillars
August 2009-Pasadena, MD Found two of these on a bush after my arm unknowingly brushed against them while weeding. I got a stinging, burning sensation and raised welts--thought I got bit by a spider or snake. It hurt! Upon closer inspection, I found these guys. (I assume they did the damage) They are the most unusual bugs I have ever seen, and I was determined to identify them. After viewing hundreds of pictures, I finally found them on your site. Many thanks!

Ouch!
No problem. They are cool (when not stinging), aren't they?
