Here is a photo of a Katydid that I took at Mitchell's Grove Nature Preserve at about 7:50 CT . I have never seen one of this color before. This Katydid wouldn't move. I was able to "coax" it enough so that it would raise its legs up.

Thought at first that it had recently molted
and that was why it didn't want to move. But we have images of freshly molted katydids that are green. Guess it's just an orange one! See
Someone here should be able to give you genus, if not species.
