Parson Spider - Herpyllus propinquus

Parson Spider - Herpyllus propinquus
Davis, CA, Yolo County, California, USA
August 5, 2009
Size: BL ≈ 12mm
We've seen several of these spiders in our apartment, although they're usually a bit larger, and not so "tame." This one was kind enough to rest for several minutes on a piece of white paper that was already taped to the wall, practically begging to be photographed. I eliminated H. ecclesiasticus as a possibility based on my location, but feel free to move it if I made a mistake.

Great shots
These are wonderful.

Thanks for the compliment!
It means so much coming from someone with such great macro shots.
