Sorry..I know this should have been pointed..Thought this was Brumoides septentrionis but it doesn't look right; it is also larger than that species (I have a couple of those in my collection)

this species either seems to be extremely variable in colour given the existing guide images or have the specimens on the guide page been wrongly identified? :-/

Wow, did not even look to see if there was already a page. Considering Gordons drawings, that's a stumper. Maybe Tim Moyer will give a look and see what he thinks. He seems to be better at these less common ones on the guide.

Fits the description
as in John Acorn's book
here

Those other images on the
B. albifrons
page must be misidentified. It's very good to have your
actual
species images here!
Brachiacantha
species are very variable, but
B. albifrons
always has pale elytra and dark markings by yours.
