Mydas fly - Mydas tibialis

Mydas fly - Mydas tibialis
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA
August 18, 2006
Found in a pool. Everyone flipped out when they saw this giant fly (they thought it was a bee) buzz into the pool. I quickly got in the pool and collected it.

First for August PA.

heck yeah!
Don't you love the looks you get from people when you do something like that? That's probably the greatest part about being into bugs...

yeah...
it was funny. Everyone swam away as fast as possible. It's even funnier thinking this thing is harmless...(or is it??)
